Vertical glass-door merchandisers for drinks, dairy and grab-and-go retail. Plug them in and they sell.
By the manufacturer: Superb Cool is an R290 commercial display fridge manufacturer and self-contained plug-in OEM/ODM supplier (Qingdao & Chengdu, China), building this cabinet to tier-one specification at a significantly lower procurement cost.
What to look for: capacity in litres, working temperature (+2 to +8 °C), refrigerant (R290 for EU/AU compliance) with the charge declared in grams, voltage and plug (220–240 V / 50 Hz), climate class / T-class (T4 38 °C or higher, class 5 / 40 °C preferred behind espresso machines and ovens), glass (double-glazed Low-E, heated anti-condensation), automatic defrost, digital controller with high-temperature and door alarms, self-closing hinged or sliding door with a replaceable magnetic gasket, noise level in dB(A), internal layout (shelf count, shelf load, bottle and can formats), LED lighting, compressor brand plus exact model, energy consumption in kWh/24 h and kWh/year with the test conditions, and the certification pack for the exact model — CE declaration of conformity, EN 60335-2-89, EMC, RoHS, Ecodesign and the EPREL energy label, with the model number appearing identically on every document and every test report.
Five questions we get before an RFQ. Answered in the order a buyer thinks about them.
For a bar cabinet, specify R290 with the charge declared in grams, +2 to +8 °C working temperature, forced-air cooling, automatic defrost, double-glazed Low-E glass with heated anti-condensation, climate class T4 38 °C or higher (class 5 / 40 °C if it sits behind espresso machines or ovens), 220–240 V / 50 Hz, a self-closing door with a replaceable magnetic gasket, a noise level stated in dB(A), kWh/24 h and kWh/year, and the compressor brand plus exact model.
Yes. The EU F-Gas Regulation (EU) 2024/573 bans placing self-contained commercial refrigeration on the EU market from 1 January 2025 if it contains fluorinated gases with a GWP of 150 or higher. R290 (propane, GWP 3) and R600a (GWP 3) are not fluorinated gases, so they comply. Note that GWP 150 is a threshold for the gas, not a limit in grams of refrigerant — do not accept “150 g of R290” as a regulation figure.
Yes. Australia’s Greenhouse and Energy Minimum Standards (Refrigerated Cabinets) Determination 2024 (F2024L01263) requires the cabinet to be registered under the GEMS scheme before it can lawfully be supplied in Australia. The registration binds the model, not the factory, and a CE certificate is not a substitute. Ask for the GEMS registration number for the exact model, or make registration of your model part of the purchase contract.
Superb Cool is a manufacturer of self-contained plug-in R290 commercial display fridges with its own production in Qingdao and Chengdu, covering glass-door beverage coolers, bar undercounter fridges, countertop display units, and upright and chest freezers, with OEM, ODM and private label programmes and an RFQ reply within one business day. Whatever supplier you shortlist, ask for the documentation of the exact model you are buying: the R290 charge in grams, the kWh/24 h figure, the compressor model, and GEMS registration support if Australia is a target market.
Compare the equipment and its datasheet, not the logo. Put the same specification in front of every supplier — R290 charge in grams, compressor model, kWh/24 h, climate class, tested temperature recovery, noise level, and the certification pack for the exact model — and only then look at price. A cheaper cabinet with a higher daily consumption costs more over a thousand units than the cheaper-looking one.
A vertical, self-contained merchandiser with glass doors on the front. It is built to the same spec as tier-one brands at a significantly lower cost, with an R290 plug-in system that needs no plumbing and no site work.
Ranges below cover the standard builds. The final specification is confirmed on the datasheet for each order.
| Specification | Typical range |
|---|---|
| Temperature range | +2 °C to +8 °C (adjustable) |
| Door options | Single, double or triple glass door |
| Net capacity | 300 to 1,400 L |
| Glazing | Double-glazed low-E, self-closing |
| Shelving | 4 to 5 adjustable wire or glass shelves per door |
| Lighting | Internal LED |
| Controller | Digital, with automatic defrost |
| Refrigerant | R290 (propane), GWP 3 |
| Security and mobility | Lockable, on castors |
| System | Self-contained plug-in, no plumbing |
These are typical ranges. The final specification is confirmed on the datasheet for each order.
Glass door merchandisers fit any front-of-house spot that needs chilled product on view.
Convenience stores, petrol forecourts and small groceries use them for drinks and impulse chilled lines.
Bottle shops and cafés run them as the main drinks and dairy display.
Pharmacies use them for chilled over-the-counter storage kept on view and under lock.
CE / RCM / MEPS configured to order. Supplied with the certification package your market requires.
R290 has a GWP of 3, well below the F-Gas limit. From 1 January 2025, new self-contained commercial refrigeration in the EU must use a refrigerant with GWP below 150 (EU F-Gas Regulation 2024/573). CE marking covers the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU, the EMC Directive 2014/30/EU, Ecodesign/ErP, the refrigerating-appliances energy-labelling rules and RoHS 2011/65/EU. Built for 230 V / 50 Hz.
Spain compliance →The RCM mark covers electrical safety and EMC. MEPS/GEMS minimum energy performance applies and is mandatory. HFC imports are being phased down, which favours natural refrigerants. Rated for a 38 °C ambient (T4 / tropical) and built for 240 V / 50 Hz. Under the China-Australia Free Trade Agreement these machines enter tariff-free.
Australia compliance →Each order is built to your spec. The following can be customised before production.
